About

My first thru-hike was on the Pacific Crest Trail in 2023. I remember laying on the couch with my eyes closed on a rainy day in Seattle, dreaming of this hike that I had been thinking about since my first backpacking trip in 2015. I could literally smell the trail, without knowing what it smelled like. I could visualize the end, without knowing what the end looked like.

I was settled in Seattle to complete a dual master’s degree in Social Work and Public Health. Within a day of turning in my work laptop and my thesis, finishing my practicum, and packing my things to move, I went on my first thru-hike across the country—no map in hand. No plan. Just hope that this would lead me to something.

My friend and I hiked from the Canadian border to Mexico, and it changed my life forever. Now I want to share what I have discovered with other people who are looking for something more magical than what the world has prescribed to us.

My Journey

I have hiked over 5000 miles in the past 3 years and have documented many of my experiences. Read about my growing pains on the trail and be inspired by the adventure.
